Recent reports of The Hindu claims that the Department of Science and Technology is planning to find India’s first quantum computer project. It’s been said that experts from across the country are expected to gather this month in Allahabad to discuss the groundwork for the quantum computer.

Well, the world is slowly progressing towards a new class of computing machines that are known as Quantum Computers. Well, the potential of these computers is yet to examined by the humans.

Previously, we have seen China made World’s first Quantum Computer that they claimed to be 24,000 times faster than international counterparts. Even tech giants like D-wave and IBM are on the race to develop the best Quantum computer and are known for its quantum computing products.

Recent reports of The Hindu claims that the Department of Science and Technology is planning to find India’s first quantum computer project. Well, if we take a look at India, the Physics departments at the Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore and the Harish Chandra Research Institute, Allahabad have only been on the theoretical side.

The Department of Science and Technology (DST) said that “the time has come to build one”. It’s been said that experts from across the country are expected to gather this month in Allahabad to discuss the groundwork for the quantum computer.
