Kickass Torrents Lost The War? Rivals Continue To Grow!
Well, previous year we have seen major torrent website went down. Torrent lovers also observed the farewell of Torrentz.eu. This was a depressing news for all torrent lovers because all the popular torrent sites are shutting down.
At the end of 2016, Kickass torrent made a comeback with a domain Katcr.co which was launched by a larger group of KickassTorrent employees. Well, Kickass Torrents was the most popular torrent website in the world until it went down.
Now the things seem difficult for the new KAT avatar as its competitors The Pirate Bay, Extratorrent and 1337x continues to grow in popularity which katcr.co lags behind.
It has been more than 30 days since the return of Kickass Torrents. The current Alexa rank of Kickass Torrent is at No. 6380, a far cry from its top Alexa rank of 85 in June 2015.
The Pirate Bay’s ranking continues to rise, and it’s Alexa rank now stands at No. 97, even higher than the 108 rank which was reported two weeks prior.
Other competitors like ExtraTorrent, Rarbg, Torrentz2 and 1337x all held steady in their rankings as well. So, the Kickass Torrents alternatives are gaining in popularity and getting more users.
The main reason why KickAss Torrents is flattering against its competitors is that of lack of older torrents and very fewer uploaders.
