The latest to join the list is from Thailand. A man from Thailand filmed himself killing his 11-month-old daughter. He posted two video clips on Facebook before committing suicide. The videos were posted at 16:50 (09:50 GMT) and 16:57 on Monday.
The first video that was posted at 16:50 was viewed 112,000 times whereas the video posted at 16:57 was viewed 258,000 times. The video shows Wuttisan Wongtalay tying a rope to his daughter Natalie’s neck and hanging her from the roof of an abandoned building in Phuket.
The police officer in charge of the case, Jullaus Suvannin said that “Wuttisan Wongtalay was having the paranoia about his wife leaving him and not loving him,”. His wife claimed that she lived with him for more than a year. But, he grew violent with time.
Her wife said that when she found that he left home with Natalie, she feared something was wrong. Singapore-based Facebook spokesperson called this incident horrifying in an email which is sent to Reuters “There is absolutely no place for content of this kind on Facebook and it has now been removed,”
Thailand’s ministry of Digital Economy contacted Facebook on Tuesday about removing the videos, after receiving a police request.
