Qualcomm has just revealed its new processor Snapdragon 821, which is believed to be 10 percent faster than its previous built Qualcomm Snapdragon 820. The intention of a company is to submit an appropriate chip for the next upcoming high-end smartphones.

The Snapdragon 821 was not actually a replacement for its previous built Snapdragon 820, which is used in many high-end phones some of the popular phones which use Snapdragon 820 are Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge, HTC 10 and Sony Xperia X. Qualcomm says “the 821 is designed to complement and extend the competitive strengths”
Qualcomm says it bumped the clock rates of the 14-nanometer chip from 2.1 Ghz to 2.4Ghz, and is sharing the same tech as of Snapdragon 820 which includes 600Mbps X12 LTE Modem, Ultra HD Voice tech
Qualcomm said “The Snapdragon 821 is engineered to deliver a 10% performance increase over the 820 with the Qualcomm Kryo quad-core CPU, reaching speeds up to 2.4GHz”
To achieve the higher speeds, Qualcomm stated that they have bumped the clock speed of the 14-nanometer chip from 2.1 GHz to 2.4 GHz. Or else, it’s adopted the same Snapdragon 820’s technology which includes 600 Mbps X12 LTE modem, Ultra HD Voice tech for improved call quality, and Upload+ for faster downloads. As well as the telecommunications equipment company Qualcomm also added that the new Snapdragon 821 will deliver greater speeds, better battery life along with the better app performance.
The new Snapdragon 821 processor also highlights multiple graphics improvements. It means now it will have better ability to run Google’s Daydream mobile VR content, as well as it will also allow the smartphones to play 4K Videos without any technical glitches and will be playable on external displays.
However,the telecommunications equipment company Qualcomm stated that Snapdragon 821 powered devices were expected to arrive in the second half of 2016.
