Microsoft Launched A New Version Of Windows 10

The firm based in Redmond has almost everyone on fire waiting for the official arrival of the first of the two major updates of Windows 10 for the current year 2019, the Spring Creators Update or Redstone 4. However, at the same time, it does not stop working on the next, which we currently know as Redstone 5.

Well, today we can confirm that the company has just launched, for users of its Insider program, a new version for Skip Ahead, all for the aforementioned Windows 10 Redstone 5 with some important changes and improvements. As it could not be otherwise, all these would not reach the whole world until next autumn, but we are already aware of them thanks to the Insiders.

That is why we just learned that the new Build 17634 introduces a function that focuses on the advanced search within the Calendar application, which means that users can search for past or future events using keywords. These are going to refer to fields such as the name, location, people included in the record, or simply words that were part of the entry.

In this way, events that coincide with this advanced search will be clearly visible in our personal calendar, while those that do not, will appear in grey so that we can quickly find everything we need at that moment. Also, keep in mind that this new search function in the Calendar application works with Outlook, Hotmail, Live and Office 365 accounts; although at the moment it is not compatible with Exchange, Gmail, Yahoo or IMAP calendars.

Other improvements to Windows 10 Build 17634

On the other hand, the tech giant Microsoft has also improved the “Cortana Show Me” that was released last week, something that will be used to help users navigate through the application Configuration that will be restructured soon. So, in this new version of the system, “Cortana Show Me” is compatible with voice commands, and we can use the digital assistant to update Windows, check if an application is installed or has been deleted, activate Airplane mode, or change the configuration of our WiFi network.

At the same time other changes and minor improvements have been included, as well as the solution for several problems recently detected. Of course, there are still pending others like the one that refers to the Microsoft Store, which gives an error when clicking on the links to it from “Settings”, something that is expected to be solved in a future update.
