YouTube is one of the most popular video streaming platforms around the world, and millions of users visit this platform every day simply to search for all kinds of content. Content that in many occasions we simply reproduce, but, sometimes we often share them with classmates, friends or relatives. Hence, here, we will simply show you all how to share a YouTube video in an exact minute to avoid having to watch the entire video.
Surely on many occasion, we have received some YouTube video with some grace or important data but we had to watch the whole video until we reached that point. But the truth is that we can share a YouTube video at a certain time, and start playing in the minute and seconds that we choose.
In this way, we will not have to see all the previous content until we reach the moment that interests us. So, now without wasting much time, let’s get started and simply explore the whole tutorial that we have mentioned below.
There are several ways to share a YouTube video in an exact minute. So, the first one is to go to YouTube, play the video which is in question and when we get to the moment that we want to share it, simply we have to stop it.
Next, we have to click on the share option and inside the window that opens, we will find the Start in the box at the bottom. By checking this option, we will automatically see how in the URL that is shown in the upper part a new parameter is added that indicates that the video starts playing at that instant of time.
Moreover, we can also write ourselves the exact minute and second in which we want the video to start playing once we share it with just writing it in the field that is shown next to the Start in box.
If we look closely at the resulting URL, we will see that the URL of the video is added the question mark followed by the expression t = X, where X represents the number of seconds that the video has to skip to start playing.
That is if we want to share a video on YouTube that starts playing in the 1 minute and 15 seconds, all we have to do is click on the share option in that video, copy the URL provided by YouTube and add the expression ? t = 75 to the URL of the video.
This will make the video play from the 75 seconds, or from the 1 minute and 15 seconds. It is also possible to indicate the minute and second in which we want the video to start playing with the expression ? T = XmYs .
There is another way to generate this URL more quickly and automatically, so we will have to avoid copying the URL and then manually add the exact moment that we want it to start playing.
And to do this, simply all we have to do is play the video until the exact minute, stop it and click on the video with the right mouse button, select the option Share the URL of the video from the current minute. Automatically, we will have the URL ready to share in the clipboard.
If instead of using the desktop version of YouTube we are using the app on our mobile or tablet, we can also share a video at an exact moment. To do this, simply we have to open the tech giant Google’s YouTube, then we simply have to search the video that we want to watch and share, and the moment we reach the minute in which we want to share it, simply we have to stop it. Then click on the option Share, Copy the link and once we have it on the clipboard simply we can go to the app where we want to share the video.
As for example, if we want to share it through WhatsApp, then simply we have to open the messaging app, paste the link in the chat where we want to send it and before clicking on the send button, we will have to add the time parameter manually as indicated in the previous steps from the desktop (for example only: ? t = 1m20s or ? t = 80).
