WhatsApp has announced a new feature that will allow you to transfer your WhatsApp account chat history from Android to iOS and iOS to Android.

Recently, Meta-owned WhatsApp has also been spotted working on the ability that will allow you to share voice notes on the status.

And for this chat transfer, the main requirement of the Move to iOS app and after this transfer, you will not get removed from the device, and you are still allowed to access it but will remove when you delete it.

The company made this announcement with a tweet on the WhatsApp Twitter account.

This transfer feature also includes migrating your account information, profile photo, individual chats, group chats, media, payment messages, and saved settings, but WhatsApp call history can’t be transferred.

And this process needs your registered mobile number in the new device should be the same as your old one.

To transfer data, you must remember that you are using Android 5 or above on the Android smartphone, and iOS 15.5 or above is required for iPhones. Besides, your smartphone should be connected to the same WiFi network.

Also, your WhatsApp app version should be above iOS version 2.22.10.70 and Android version 2.22.7.74.

As we all know, before this feature, the chat history couldn’t be transferred to another smartphone like we can transfer media in many ways.
