YouTube Adds Pinch To Zoom Feature On Android & iOS
YouTube is recently updating its Android and iOS app to add much more new features. YouTube has made several changes to its platforms and mobile apps, each update represents the good work that has been achieved.
The reason why we are talking about Youtube is that YouTube App is about to get ‘pinch-to-zoom’ feature that will help users to fill the screen and remove the black bars at the edges.
The new feature was first spotted by Android Police, and the report throws lights on the new “Pinch-to-zoom” feature. According to Android Police, the feature was already available to Pixel 2 XL users on YouTube version 12.40.
The new feature is live on the new version of YouTube app on Google Play Store and iOS App Store. Actually, the feature is built to crop the 16:9 video to fit the 18:9 display. Therefore, to use this feature you need to have a smartphone with 18:9 display like Samsung Galaxy S8, Galaxy S8+, Note 8, LG V30 and few others.
If you have iPhone X or Google Pixel 2 XL smartphone then you will notice that you can pinch the video with two fingers to zoom in or out the video to fit the entire display. To use this feature, you need to update the YouTube App from Google Play Store or iOS App Store.
