China Builds World’s First Quantum Computing Machine

Scientists in China have just developed that world’s first quantum computer machine. The team of scientists claims that the new quantum computer is almost 24,000 times faster than its international contenders.

Scientists working at the University of Science and Technology of China built a quantum computer, the computer is located at Hefei in Anhui province. Well, let me tell you quantum computers are incredibly faster than the conventional computers.

Quantum computing machines can even predict the complex behavior of subatomic particles. According to the reports from Ib Times, Pan Jianwei, the lead scientist on the project said:

“The machine can perform calculations 10 to 100 times faster than what the first electronic digital computer ENIAC, developed in the 1940s, would have been capable of doing. Although the machine currently is of no practical use, it does highlight the future prospects of quantum computing”

Researchers said in a study “Our architecture is feasible to be scaled up to a larger number of photons and with a higher rate to race against increasingly advanced classical computers”. The study was published in the Journal Nature Photonics.

Well, this was the first quantum computing machine based on Single photons. So, what do you think about this? Share your views in the comment box below.
