OMG! DxOMark Reveals Manufacturers Offered It Money For Camera Reviews

In the world of photography, DxOMark is one of the most well-known publications in the analysis of the photographic material.

As many suspected, a head of the American company, of course, DxOMark said that several brands have tried to offer money in order to see their products analyzed.

When looking for an analysis or comparison between smartphone, DSLR, compact cameras or even lenses, DxOMark is one of the best sources of this type of content.

However, while the reviews are thorough and detailed, there has always been a mistrust about the test results, with several people accusing the American brand of being paid to speak well of a product.

In an interview given to AndroidHeadlines, the American company, of course, DxOMark’s vice president Nicolas Touchard came to contribute to this issue, confirming that the company constantly receives proposals from various brands to analyze their smartphones. However, Touchard does not consider this gesture as a bribe, stating that it is a common proposition for anyone who has never worked with them and does not know their lawsuit.

DxOMark thus reaffirms that it does not accept payments from anyone to facilitate the analysis of some equipment, now or in the future, and this decision has been respected by the brands that tried this contact.

In addition to analyzing the photographic component, DxOMark also offers advice and training in order to more comprehensively evaluate the various photographic parameters, something that happened last year with OnePlus. This case led many people to believe that the analysis would be influenced by the brand itself and removing credibility for the project.

As a matter of curiosity, all the analyzes are done in one of the five laboratories of the company and take about 10 days to complete, 5 for the photographic capture and another 5 for the analysis.
