Extratorrent site has been brought back by uploaders and admins with a new domain Extratorrent.cd. The group also claimed that they have previously restored torrent sites like The Pirate Bay and KickAss Torrents when they went down in the past.
Extratorrent Is Back Again! Now Running On A New Domain
The web of torrents is struggling. There are clear signs that the torrent sites are not going through their best. Well, a few days ago we have seen the authors of Extratorrent have decided to shut down the site permanently.
The authors have decided to remove all of their content to display a short message confirming that the page has been closed forever. Well, if you remember when KickAss Torrents went down it was brought back to life as KickAss.cd.
The similar things happened with Extratorrent, the site has been brought back by uploaders and admins with a new domain Extratorrent.cd. According to the reports from Indiatimes, an email sent to publication stated:
“We are a group of uploaders & admin’s from ExtraTorrent. As you know, SAM from ExtraTorrent pulled the plug yesterday and took all data offline under pressure from authorities,”
“We have successfully resurrected it back to it’s glory at extratorrent.cd with all available data. It’s live and new data is continuously being updated. Some small features are not yet working & we are getting it fixed as we speak”
The group also claimed that they have previously restored torrent site like The Pirate Bay and KickAss Torrents when they went down in the past. Well, at the time of writing this article, the site Extratorrent.cd is working and have HTTPS protocol enabled.
