G Suite has announced new updates which provide stronger security in Gmail, Meet, and Chat. The company is also bringing new ways to help IT, admins, to manage and secure devices in the Admin Console.

Last year, Google has announced that it has done a partnership with Brand Indicators for Message Identification (BIMI) group, which is bringing a new email feature that will add brand logos to verified emails.

The BIMI pilot will allow the organizations who verify their emails by using DMARC. It confirms the ownership of their logos and securely transmits them to Google. Once all the anti-abuse checks authenticate all the Emails, Gmail will show the logo in the existing avatar slots in Gmail.

It looks like the verifies stamps which have increased across social media, but on Gmail, there won’t be a blue check. The verified logo will be the logo of the company that sent the email, and it will look like the logo of CNN, as shown in the picture.

BIMI is providing advantages to the whole email system. As it requires strong authentication, the users and email security systems have gained confidence in the source of emails and senders, which will get their brand trust and will provide an immersive experience to their customers.

The chairman of the AuthIndicators Working Group and Vide President, Seth Blank said,

“For organizations that want to create a trusted brand presence over email, BIMI is a great opportunity, incentivizing them to implement strong authentication, which in turn will lead to a safer, more trusted email ecosystem for everyone.”

Google said it would start the BIMI pilot in coming weeks with limited numbers. In the coming months, the company will make BIMI generally available with a successful pilot.
