Microsoft Launched Surface Book 2
Two years after the launch of its first notebook, Microsoft just announced the Surface Book 2, the new version of the device. Surface Book 2 brings more powerful hardware, upgraded processors and a larger, 15-inch version to compete directly with the more expensive MacBook Pro.
According to Microsoft, the Surface Book 2 is the “most powerful Surface Book ever”. With its Surface Book 2, Microsoft is planning to bring the power of mixed reality, machine learning, artificial intelligence and immersive gaming to you.
The all new Microsoft’s Surface Book 2 is powered by the eight-generation Intel core processor. The Surface Book 2 comes in two options, one with a 13.5-inch screen and another one with a 15-inch screen. Both have detachable displays, which work as tablets and are sensitive to finger touch or a stylus pen.
The 15-inch Surface Book 2 features 3240×2160 resolutions and 260 PPI. Apart from all of these, other configurations are as follows:
- 8th Generation Intel Quad Core i7-8650U, 4.2Ghz max turbo.
- Storage Options: 256GB, 512GB or 1TB SSD
- Graphics: Nvidia GeForce GTX 1060, 6GB Graphic Memory
The 13 inch Base model features a 7th generation dual-core i5-7300U along with 8GB of RAM. The storage and other configurations remain the same. However, the 13-inch model comes with an option to upgrade to an 8th generation CPU and 16GB RAM.
Both of the machines can deliver 17 hours of battery life and it has 2 USB-A, 1 USB-C, 5MP front camera, 8MP rear camera, Dolby Atmos for headphones and backlit keyboard.
The 13-inch model is expected to be priced at $1,499 and the pre-order starts from November 6th and the shipping will take place from November 16th. The 15inch model is expected to carry the price tag of $2,499.
