OnePlus is planning to launch a new budget smartwatch in the Indian market. According to the latest reports, the company is in the works with an affordable smartwatch that might be a Nord smartwatch.
The wearable will enter the Indian market in the second half of 2022, along with OnePlus Nord 3. OnePlus is already selling two fitness bands under Rs. 5,000, and now the affordable smartwatch might be coming.
Nord smartwatch would cost more than fitness bands and might be priced around Rs.10,000. Currently, the features and design of the smartwatch are not known, but more details are expected to come soon.
OnePlus Nord Smartwatch To Launch With Nord 3 Smartphone In India
Till now, OnePlus has launched only one smartwatch in India at a price tag of Rs. 14,999. Currently, there is OnePlus Watch and OnePlus Band in India.
The upcoming affordable smartwatch is expected to offer basic features like heart rate monitoring, SpO2 tracking, sleep monitoring, step tracking, and more. Most probably, it will have a feature to control music playback.
A tipster, Yogesh Brar, claims that OnePlus is making a Nord Smartwatch whose price will be between Rs. 5000 to Rs. 8,000. The device might offer a color touchscreen display, smartphone notifications, and other features.
At present, nothing is confirmed; all these details are just speculations. As mentioned, the smartwatch might come along with Nord 3 smartphone, so more details will be coming soon.
It is unclear whether the wearable will have the same round dial which is offered with the premium OnePlus Watch or it will use the square-shape design. The smartwatch will not have WearOS, as the company chose to offer its watch with a custom Real-Time Operating System (RTOS).
In the next few months, OnePlus will launch a range of phones in India. OnePlus 10 Pro, OnePlus Nord CE 2 Lite, Nord 2T, and Nord 3. The company is planning to expand its Nord portfolio to smartwatches also.
