Xiaomi Mi A2 – Price, Features, Specs, Release Date
The Swiss store Digitech revealed by mistake all the details – features, price and availability – of the Xiaomi Mi A2, one of the most awaited smartphones of the Chinese smartphone manufacturer, of course, Xiaomi.
This new model will use the Snapdragon 660 processor, a chip noticeably more powerful than the Snapdragon 625 of its predecessor. It will also have 6 GB of RAM, a 3010 mAh capacity battery and three storage configurations: 32 GB, 64 GB and 128 GB.
The screen will have 5.99 inches, Full HD+ resolution and an aspect ratio of 18:9. The frames around it, following the trend of the industry, will be thinner than in previous models.
In the photographic section, the Mi A2 has a dual setup consisting of a sensor of twelve megapixels and another of 20 megapixels. Both modules have lenses with an aperture of f/1.8, thus improving performance in adverse light conditions.
Other present features, although less relevant, are the 4G connectivity, the Bluetooth 5.0, the QuickCharge system, a USB type C port, a fingerprint reader and a microSD card slot.
The base configuration is similar to the Mi 6X, a device that Xiaomi has already introduced for the Chinese market. The only difference – beyond the usual adaptations – is the operative system. Being an Android One product, the Mi A2 offers a “pure” version of the Android operating system. Discontinue MIUI and bet on an experience much closer to the Google Pixel.
According to the data revealed by the Swiss store, the Mi A2 will hit stores on August 8, so its official presentation should take place throughout the month of July.
The price, according to the store announces, part in 289 Swiss francs – about Rs.20,000. To put it in perspective: the most basic configuration of the Mi A1, its predecessor, started at Rs.16,000.
