As we were advancing, the Mountain View company, of course, Google has released an urgent update for its well-known and most used web browser, of course, Google Chrome web browser. The 72.0.36226.121 is the latest version available, and it is the one that solves the critical vulnerability found by the tech giant Google’s well-known security researcher, Clement Lecigne in the Chrome web browser at the end of last month.

However, what has not been resolved is a security flaw in Windows 7, at the kernel level, and related to the win32k.sys driver. But, if you are using Windows 10 then don’t worry, as this security problem does not affect Windows 10 in any of its versions, while other security flaws can be used to gain the administrator privileges of an attacked system.

Moreover, from the Mountain View company, Google they indicate that ‘in compliance with the policy’ they have defined, the existence of this vulnerability which is now made public, as they have proof that it is exploited in targeted attacks.

As the cybercriminals are already aware of this security flaw, and it is being exploited to launch attacks against users. Due to a problem with Windows 7, which has not been solved at the moment, the tech giant Google’s most used web browser Chrome can be used to gain administrator privileges on a computer. However, we must also bear in mind that in January of the next year 2020 the tech giant Microsoft will end the support for Windows 7.
