Google has been working on its Google Pixel Watch for a long time, while a tipster reported details about its Operating System, which indicate it might launch this year soon.

As we reported in Google’s first watch leaks, Google will develop the upcoming Google smartwatch with the Pixel hardware and its own wear OS.

The latest leaks are coming from the accurate leaker Evan Blass, who hinted that the Google Pixel Watch is assumed to run on Wear OS 3.1.

Google’s Pixel Watch project is codenamed ‘Rohan‘ as we have seen in earlier reports too. According to the Evan Blass post on Twitter, The ‘Pixel Rohan‘ is running on Google’s Wear OS 3.1 in the screenshot of an ‘interactive tutorial for a device‘.

This is odd because the latest version of Wear OS is 3.2. However, the latest Samsung Galaxy Watch 4 models are also running Wear OS 3.2, and for Google to launch a new product with old software seems irrelevant. Still, it also reflects that The Pixel Watch is ready to get out soon before another update.

Currently, there is no information about the specs and design but according to the renders noted by Jon Prosser said the Pixel Watch will come with a round dial and a silicone strap.

Blass also captioned in his Twitter post, “won’t be long now”, which is an indication that the launch of Google’s first smartwatch is very close now. The speculations are the Pixel Watch launch will take place at Google IO Conference 2022 which will begin on May 11.

Earlier rumors have also noted that Google would launch the Pixel Watch alongside the Pixel 6a at the IO, which might be surprising.
