In total, the study found that Samsung had faster download speeds in 35% of the 40 countries analyzed. beating out Apple, which achieved faster speeds in just 17.5% of the countries. However, OpenSignal does point out that slower download speeds in Apple devices could be because of the weak smartphone market in that specific county.

It’s worth to note that there are other factors that affect download speeds such as the ability to connect to more frequency bands, the ability to connect to multiple radio bands simultaneously, multiple antennas, etc.
